EFMF E-News – February 2024

We are thrilled to announce that Robert Plant & Alison Krauss will headline the festival on August 11.

“This is one of the most exciting bookings in the history of our festival, and a brilliant way to close on Sunday night,” says Terry Wickham, Festival Producer.

This is Robert Plant’s first time to the Edmonton Folk Music Festival while Alison Krauss performed on the hill with Union Station in 2005.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released Raising Sand in 2007, one of the most acclaimed albums of the 21st Century. It was an unlikely, mesmerizing pairing of one of rock’s greatest frontmen with one of country music’s finest and most honoured artists, produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett. After fourteen years, the two icons reunited with Raise the Roof. Earning three 2023 Grammy nominations and unanimous acclaim, these dozen songs have extended this remarkable collaboration in thrilling new directions.
The 45th Edmonton Folk Music Festival takes place August 8 – 11, 2024.

The full festival line up will be announced on Tuesday, May 28.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 am.
